GUAPARÁ – RCWS

The Guapará is a RCWS (Remote Controlled Weapon Station) that allows the operator to control a 7.62 mm or 5.56 mm machine gun remotely through its camera system. It provides a safe space to choose and point the target, allowing shooters locks on the target position, to open fire.

It is developed for military boats, and can be customized for other kinds of vehicles, like light armored trucks and helicopters.

Guapará is a system that allows a light machine gun to be operated from a safe and protected location, through its camera system. It allows shooters locks on the
target position, to open fire, stabilizing the target in two axes.

The system is composed of a set of sensors, which may include video cameras (with regular, night vision and/or thermal), radars, and other detection equipment, that allow the operator to monitor the environment around the weapon system.
