GUAPARÁ – RCWS
The Guapará is a RCWS (Remote Controlled Weapon Station) that allows remote operation of a machine gun through its camera system, which gives the operator a safe space to choose and point the target to open fire. It is established in yaw and pitch axis to sustain the line of fire. In other words, once the target is in aim, it locks onto it until the mechanical limits are reached.
This RCWS can be customized for other kinds of vehicles, like light armored trucks and helicopters.
The Guapará works with two machine gun firing modes: automatic (bursts) and semi-automatic, it stabilizes the machine gun motion in two axis, seeks the target through its operator, and comes with a control panel.
